Six Songs..Five Days Per Song=30 Day Challenge
May 22, 2010 Front Page
So last night I agreed to a 30 day challenge of writing and producing six new songs within that time frame…sounds insane huh?! I don’t mean six new beats…I mean six original fully written and produced tracks for my new smooth jazz project. I have been toying with the idea for a long time and even jotted down a few ideas for tracks.. but I didn’t really have anything concrete. Last night at the Artists Mastermind Group, we had to decide on a goal that we wanted to reach within a 30 day period be it personal or business.
Well this is something that I really wanted to do but failed to make it a priority, because of all the other things that I do. That challenge for me was the perfect opportunity to get it done in a timely manner. So here is what I need from all of you…I need you to inquire daily about this project via twitter, DM’s, text messages, emails and BBM. I need your pushes, pulls, encouragement, support, cheerleading and anything else that will constantly inspire me to finish what I started in 30 days. I believe! Will you believe with me and help me by holding my feet to the fire and keeping me focused and accountable to YOU?!! Let’s get it in!!
Me & Michael Jackson @ Same Event!
May 17, 2010 My Life
Ha ha! In the words of Nas/ Diggy Simmons..” Made you Look” ..lol! Not Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, but Michael Jackson, host of the Artists Mastermind Group. I had the awesome privilege of attending this event on Thursday night and oh what a nite! I had a very good time mingling, listening and learning from those of us who are involved in the arts to some degree. I strongly recommend mastermind groups no matter what you do!
A mastermind group is simply an alliance of two or more individuals dedicating themselves to a specific goal. A “coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.” (Napoleon Hill)
The benefits of having a supportive mastermind group are plenty:
1.You have a group of people available to help you succeed.
2.You get the benefit of differing perspectives, input and feedback.
3.Your mastermind team can bring resources and connections to the table you might not have had on your own.
4.You receive accountability and inspiration from the group, thus enabling you to maintain focus in achieving your goals. (Dale Carnegie)
As a music business entrepreneur/songwriter/producer, I think it’s important that you find some like-minded people in your area who you can connect with and possibly network with on your journey to SUCCESS. Here are just a few pics from that gathering..enjoy!
Twitter Music Monday

Hey Everybody! It is Music Monday again, the opportunity to discover and share new music…However I wanted to give you a small look at my workstation..my creative space…the place where I write new music. I actually love it here, the mood, the atmosphere is always just right for creating. I am very protective of this place…no negativity is allowed, no low energy is allowed, no complaining…nothing that can be a distraction to me is allowed. For me, it’s a sacred place!
