IMB: You are the CEO of Clint Productions, LLC/Studio Owner/Producer…tell us what it is that you do and what services you provide to artists and the music industry?

Anthony: Ok, well I produce music for a variety of things. I can provide music for Artists, TV/film, radio/commercial ads, etc. There are so many venues for music even beyond an artist’s album. Where ever there is a need for music I can provide it! I also have a website, www.clintproductions.com that is more so geared towards providing music at a reasonable price for those independent artists who have smaller budgets. No matter where they are located, they can order great quality music for their projects, demos, and ads right from my website.

IMB: How long have you been doing this?

Anthony: I started producing music around 15 years old. I started out playing around with loops, then started using a keyboard to make beats. By the time I was 16, I was playing keys using a few chords I had learned and began playing everything instead of using loops someone else had made. Since then, I haven’t stopped! The first time I produced vocals was around 18 or 19 years old and I’ve been growing and learning more each day. I’m 23 now, so I guess you can say I’ve been making music for about 8 years.

IMB: How can someone submit their music to you and what are the guidelines?

Anthony: If someone wants to submit music for me to possibly produce the music to, they can send an email to info@clintproductions.com along with an mp3 and/or description of what they are looking for musically. If there are lyrics involved, lyrics should not contain profanity or explicit sexual content.

IMB: Is there a fee for your services?

Anthony: Yes, there is a fee for my services. For smaller independent projects my prices are online at www.clintproductions.com/packages-and-prices.php. For major projects, placements and artists send an email to info@clintproductions.com and we’ll go from there to negotiate prices, royalties, licensing, etc.

IMB: Do you produce all genres /styles of music or is there one style you prefer over the other?

Anthony: I produce different genres including Gospel, R&B, Pop, Neo-Soul, Smooth Jazz, Contemporary Christian, and even some Hip Hop. I always loved the feel of R&B and ballads so I find myself producing a lot of R&B. Gospel and Christian music comes natural to me since I was raised and played in church all of my life. When I started producing I always made Hip Hop beats lol it was always about the hot beat for me. People say I have a jazzy, neo-soul feel to my playing also, so all of that comes out allowing me to produce in these different genres. I also want to produce some good country and pop/rock in the near future…I wouldn’t mind playing piano on some music like that. I love and appreciate most genres of music.

IMB: Where can people hear samples of your work besides on ‘Pearl’ ?

Anthony: LOL People can hear samples of my work on my website at www.clintproductions.com/sample-clips.php. I also have a single on iTunes and Amazon titled “My Heart Cries” written and produced by myself to showcase some of my productions skills. I’m not trying to be an “Artist” or “Singer” per se LOL, I just wanted to put out some good music that I think people would enjoy. So check that out!

IMB: Will you work with anybody?

Anthony: I am a bit picky about who I work with. I’m not quick to jump and work with any and everybody because I believe whatever I do or produce is a reflection of me and my business. If you are a singer, songwriter, or rapper, you must have music with substance. Something with a message that people can understand.  Not only that, but I have to be able to vibe with your music. If I can’t feel it, it’s going to be difficult to deliver my best and I want to be able to deliver my best in everything that I do. I use my discretion when deciding who I will work with. If I feel where you’re going with your music, I hear the potential, and I have a good feeling about working with you, then we can work!

IMB: What’s your gear/setup?

Anthony: Ah, the good stuff!! (laughs) As far as hardware, I’m currently using a MacBook Pro ( Mac OS X Snow Leopard, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.2Ghz, 4GB memory, 120 GB HD internal, 500 GB external), Yamaha Motif 7, KRK Rokit Powered 5 monitors, MBox 2 mini and M-Audio ProFire 610 for my audio interfaces. Software includes Logic Pro 9, Pro Tools LE 8, Reason 4 and a few other software instrument plugins.
